PROMOTING THE USE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES!

Before the EU CIVITAS DYN@MO project there were very few electric vehicles running on the island of Mallorca. 

To promote the use of electric vehicles, the city of Palma ensures free parking for electric vehicles: Registered electric vehicles are given a sticker. With this sticker the vehicles can park for free in the blue zones within the city of Palma. In addition, the owners of an electric vehicle pay a lower circulation tax for their vehicles.

There are now many public charging points in Palma. These intelligent charging points are included in the MobiPalma app so users can access real-time information on the availability of charging points on their smartphones. 

The intelligent charging points are situated on busy streets and in easy to locate areas. These points are marked as a parking with the sign of a plug.
